In this blog I will tell you how to change Computer (Host) name using regedit. While the normal method of changing the name of your PC is through the interface in the main operating system, an alternate method is changing the registry key that holds your computer's name. You can complete this process in less than five minutes.

Instructions

1:) Click "Start." Type "regedit" into the "Search" box and press "Enter."
2:) Navigate through the keys in the following order: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE," "SYSTEM," "CurrentControlSet", "Control," "ComputerName" "ActiveComputerName."
3:) Double-click on the "ComputerName" key.
4:) Enter in a new name for your computer. Use all capital
